Put the album in, and rewind track 1.
Speaking to this, does anyone know technically how this was done? I'm recording a cd and have some ideas around this concept...can't find info anywhere

At the 3:20 mark of For Pete's Sake, Yellowcard break into the Top Gun theme song.

I'd google search "pregap recording" ... I'm sure there's something.

Uh, I mean that Gaslight thing is moderately interesting, but why not point out that the title of that song is also a reference to two different Springsteen albums, too?

Also, to be fair, I don't think excessive references to other bands (see: Set Your Goals) are really that interesting. I mean, sometimes they're more lazy than anything. Like, that in that SYG song those lyrics don't even really make any sense and are only there to be references, more than anything.

I guess it's not that cool, and most people probably know, but at the end of 'Everything Is Alright' by Motion City Soundtrack, the background vocals sing 'Hi, Everything's Great/Hey, Everything's Fine,' which are the names of a studio and live album (respectively) by the band Limbeck. I'm also fairly certain that members of Limbeck even sang that part for the record, but I can't find that anywhere.

Uh, because it's my list of things I think are cool and others can expand upon in the replies.

can someone explain to me the part about 'A Praise Chorus' even clearer?

I'm from Poland and I do know english quite well but I dont get the idea.

All I hear after second stanza is a regular chorus.

In the song 'Everyone Left' by The Dangerous Summer AJ says, "Cause the sun I finally reached it; Give me reason to move on now" and I'm not entirely sure if it's him referencing a departure from Reach From The Sun (whether it's the topics/life events it was written about or the recognition it gained). I didn't notice it until I was on vacation last summer. Maybe I'm overanalyzing things, but there are a bunch of different ways he could have worded the lyrics there, so I'm curious.
