Like the music, like the verse, but the chorus does nothing for me. Too much cheese. Wasn't a fan of the first song released either. Loved the last record...really took me by surprise, but I'm very eh now.
I mean, the chorus is poppy, but this is still very much Conditions in my opinion. The last album, for me, was too overproduced, and felt like too much of an effort, like they had to put something out; Full of War feels natural, like how all of their EPs felt. I have been a fan since their inception, and I feel the stuff we are hearing off of Full of War is much more like their EPs pre-Fluorescent Youth.
Man Conditions has always been one of my favorite band but none of these new songs have any "bite" they all sound really safe and unfortunately even forgettable. There's no real variation in tempo or singing, no high parts or heavy sections. I really hope the rest of the album proves me wrong.
