National Product Parts Ways with Dan Dan Niles has left National Product to pursue a different career.
Message from the Band We the members of NP regret to inform you that Dan Niles "The Danimal" (keyboards/acoustic guitar/rad dude) has decided to part ways with the band. We are all very saddened by his departure, but he has built a great name for himself as a graphics designer and has chosen to continue down that path in his life. We all wish him the best of luck in his career and we'll all miss him greatly. Below you will find comments from each one of us on his departure. As always if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, but if you are just looking for dirt don't bother, there is none. National Product will continue full steam ahead and we've decided to remain a 5 piece for the time being. If you are a dedicated musician and think you have something to add to this project, please let us know and if we ever decide to explore having another member we may hit you up. Thank you all for your continued support.
Stayed tuned, we'll be comin' through your town soon!!!
Much Love to all of you!!!!
The NP Dudes
Nate: Dan...dude we've had some seriously great times man. We've come a very long way since highschool and we did what everybody told us we couldn't. I wish nothing but the best for you, you're one of the best friends anyone could ask for and I know you have what it takes to be the best.
I love ya man!!! Cheers!
Danny C: The Danimal is a good dude. His life calls for him to follow his passion and dream of running his own graphic design business and he is off to a running start already. We got to watch him design websites, shirts, posters, flash set ups and more while on the road and it was near impossible for the dude to run his business while being in a full time touring band like ours is. We will miss him and ONLY wish him the best in everything he does. Whatever he puts his mind to he does well in, so it will be cool to see where he takes this new path in life. For anyone looking for the juice, there is none here, its only in the fridge. Good luck Danimal.
Jeff: Niles, we are going to miss ya, bud! We had a crazy amount of fun in such a short amount of time.
I wish you the best, and now that you are no longer the rookie, I think we might have to go back to hazing Nate! Good luck with your new career!
Stan: Sup Niles! Its been a fun run having you in the band this past year. I send only my best out to you on your new career as a designer, Your so damn good at it bro! I know you're gonna kill it. Make sure you keep in touch bud. Hit me up anytime if you need anything.
Love yah man, Braddah Stan
Rob: Niles, As peculiar as you are, you will be severely missed :) Thanks for always finding a way to "make it weird," but more than that, thanks for being such an amazing friend, brother, and musician to share the stage with. Who am I gonna throw my water bottle at now?! I wish you all the best in your upcoming endeavors.
Love ya bud!
P.S.
Don't wander too far :)
Respectfully,
National Product

I feel like this isn't the first instance of this happening to a band. Graphic design is killing music.

I was shocked when I first read the bulletin, but I'm positive that it'll work out fine in the long run...best of luck to NP and Dan Niles!

As an aspiring graphic designer who happens to love music, I can't decide whether to be happy for him or sad that he's leaving. :(
Wouldn't it be awesome if he got to work with the record label in the future and continued doing stuff for NP?

I sure hope not. That guy is pretty rad. If not for his frequent posts on this site, and his hysterical paint-shop drawing from earlier this week, I never would have checked out his band. But now that I have, I really dig them. Hope he's still with the band, since I'm just now getting into them.
