Yeah, I'd disagree with a lot of these. I thought Say Anything's self-titled was great, I thought Panic!'s latest was great, and I thought several Mars Volta albums were great. And I've never given a crap about Finch.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus though, definitely. They kinda seemed like they might turn into a big deal, and they sure didn't.

if we were to include albums who only released one album, then Wild Sweet Orange.

Are they still together? I loved that record. Thanks for reminding me.

In my opinion, the following bands never lived up to their debuts:

fun.
Saosin (EP)
Scary Kids Scaring Kids (EP)
Senses Fail (EP)
Taking Back Sunday

Regarding the previously mentioned bands (Finch, Say Anything, and Funeral for a Friend), I've never found any of their albums particularly interesting, so I wouldn't put them in this thread.

There are a number of bands that only have on album and it's a great one, but that list would be pretty large.

Really?? I thought Let It Enfold You was right on par with From The Depths Of Dreams.

nah, they broke up shortly afterward. the lead guy, Preston Lovinggood, just released a solo album, but I wasn't a big fan of it.

Not in my opinion no, but they had major label backing and a sound that had all the teenage girls drooling. They really crapped the bed with their next few albums.

I think Cartel is a pretty classic example also (as long as we aren't counting EPs).

I agree with Cartel; the EP wasn't anything special.

The live show is still solid (it helps that they trimmed the fat), but I just can't see them topping the creativity and execution of Chroma.

I sorta disagree with Senses Fail. From The Depths Of Dreams is miles ahead of Let It Enfold You, but the two albums after that we're just as good if not better.

I'm really impatient for Renacer....

I disagree with pretty much everything in the thread so far. There's a lot of bands who have more than one good album and a lot where I just don't like anything they've ever done.

Oh, here's one, Brand New.
