Haha, I said that because I knew you'd say that. I didn't really hate ESR but it was my least favorite, a little too somber for me. Honesty though I still have yet to hear their last disc so I guess I can't call myself a true fan.
Yeah, I just love the somber shit, haha. Dude, their last albums amazing, probably my second favourite, you should check it out.

great article, can't believe it's been 10 yrs now. .a truly personal album for me in my late teens and early 20's back then, will always be one of my desert island albums

while i think "you are my sunshine" has some of their best songs, "beneath medicine tree" is a masterpiece as a whole and flows seemlessly from beginning to end. .a truly inspiring, uplifting, real album from a REAL group of guys with a great message and heart

RIP

haha, its funny, that's how I see those two albums but in reverse, I think BMT has some of their best songs but YAMS works as a whole and flows seamlessly.

I'm not by any means a 'true fan' either and I really wasn't into ESR at all, like you, but I absolutely love their last album, YAMS. Check it out man! You won't be disappointed, promise!

I will do so! I always forget it exists when looking online to buy new stuff, but I'll mosey on over to Amazon right now. I'd say that their first 2 are among the best CDs I've ever heard but ESR just didn't much for me apart from the intro.
