I'm neutral to this. I was an enormous ATDR fan with their first 2 CDs, enjoyed Homesick but kind of moved on after that. Their last CD was overall solid, liked the heavier songs better but half the poppy ones were good the others forgettable.
I'm assuming they just pushed Violence through the process so they could release it early, but I didn't expect this long of a wait for the album, I was surprised when I read an adtr interview a few days ago and Jeremy said it wasn't done yet
This band is way too 50/50 for me. When their ripping out pop punk hooks and big choruses I think they're unstoppable. Then the inevitable STUPID breakdown happens, and I get embarrassed for myself and turn it off.
I really think they're a talented band though and that Jeremy is so good at his craft... Just not my thing anymore. Hoping they can change that though.
they've been quiet for too long for me, and got nothing from violence, to be excited for a release from this band. own everyone of their records and thought wsmfy was quite solid. really dig their anthem type songs and their poppy side, not huge on their heavy songs but some of them pull me in. i'll hafta hear a new song from the album to get excited.
