Dallas face as the artwork sounds like it's inspired by album lyrics. His face, although drawn, was the cover of Bring Me Your Love. His face is also the cover of his iTunes Live SXSW Ep, and a picture of him makes the cover of the Live at The Verge and Live at The Orange Lounge. I'm not surprised at all that he's featured on his album cover. I was actually more surprised he wasn't on Little Hell.
Technically his face is on the cover of Bring Me Your Love (albeit in drawing/art form). Not sure why this comes as a shock to him.
Reading over that list of people involved in the making of this record was like reading a batch of the last third of names that appear in a film's end credits -- they're people who without question deserve credit, but are by no means a recognizable part of the project.
It's nice to see a cover that fully emphasizes this being solely Dallas' vessel for music, even if he enlists the help of others in order to have it fully realized.
