i'll be the first to admit, i was skeptical of this new album, but it is so addictive. i can't get the songs out of my head. and like you, the more i listen to it, the more i want to keep listening to it. it's like crack to my ears.
Definitely. There were a couple songs that I didn't like a whole at first, like Fast In My Car and (One of Those) Crazy Girl, but now I love all of them. I think this has become my favorite Paramore album.
The second half of the album is much better than the first. I actually prefer the slower somber songs on this record. Side A is still horrible. I'm trying to not let first impressions stand in the way. The mixing still isn't the greatest. There are certain times where everything just sounds like a wall of noise. On a positive note Hayley sounds as amazing as ever. Many of the hooks in the chorus are top notch despite the sub par lyrics. Usually I find Paramore's middle part of their albums to be the weakest but this is where the album is best IMO. Musically the record is not bad but just not as good as it was with the Farro brothers. Once I was able to swallow the bitter pill that was "Fast in my car" the album started to take a shape. 17 tracks is alot to digest. The album as a whole isn't as bad as Side A led me to believe. It's my least favorite Paramore release but a Paramore release all the same. I give it a 74% (a passing grade =D)
Favorite songs: "Part II", ""Still Into You", and "Hate to See Your Heart Break"
