Paramore Going For That #1 Spot

Posted by: Drew Beringer (04/11/13)
It's looking like Paramore's new self-titled album will debut at #1 on next week's Billboard chart with just around 110k units moved. This would be the band's first #1 record.

also, how many more would FBR have sold if they'd led with Still Into You as the single, rather than Now?

Congrats. Taking such big risks in sound for a band as huge as Paramore deserves to be rewarded.

Not sure. While I personally like Still Into You as a single, I feel like Now appeals a little bit more since it's just.. louder. My local alternative station plays the shit out of Now and if Paramore released Still Into You first, I don't think it would have gotten as much radio play. At least here, it wouldn't have.

Hayley is losing her mind on Twitter. Really great to see this happen for them on their comeback record though.

honestly I thought they'd sell more than 110k records but that may be because I have unrealistic expectations. I am very curious to see how much FOB moves (somewhere between 250 and 350 is my guess)

I'm predicting 110k-130k for FOB.
