AP.net Interview: Cartel

Posted by: Jason Tate (04/12/13)
Cartel recently released Collider, and we had a chance to sit down and talk with Will and Joseph a little bit about the past, present, and future of the band. You can check out that interview right here.
Thats it. We put our career in the hands of our fan base. If people want to hear more, they'll buy the record and/or buy a ticket to a show. Beyond that, we have no control. I'd love to continue this as long as possible. Hopefully, a great enough percentage of the folks who have bought our records in the past will do so again and we'll continue on. I don't think we've said everything we have to say or written the songs that would allow us to walk away with no letdown.

not positive on this, but probably because they released it independent of a label. there are streams other places and you should buy it if you like it.

on LAB records

I do Spotify because its $10/month. I can't afford to buy all the albums I like and I'm not downloading stuff illegally either.

I understand the Spotify route. Pretty sure this is completely self-released though. They did their last EP on LAB records. At least that's what AP.net's review of Collider says http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=3086141

I just can't get into anything these guys do for some reason. The best release of theirs were those... 5 or 6 demos that leaked pre-Chroma.

I actually agree with you 100% and the ransom ep I believe? They're not bad live either but everything else they've done is just kind of meh to me, especially what I heard of this.

Weird. The album is available in other countries on Spotify and says LAB records.
