I'm like the biggest unabashed Anthony Bourdain fan and I loved it. I watched No Reservations and The Layover religiously and I can honestly say at least from the first episode I like it better. Like someone alluded to, it's basically No Reservations pt. 2. Same dude, same crew (Emmy winning crew), same concepts. He even doesn't lose the swearing, which in traditional Bourdain behavior I was worried about. He probably won't be making as many sodomy jokes but I guess you have to make sacrifices for network TV.
The filmography (is that a word?) was spectacular, and it was slightly less food centric, which I certainly don't have a problem with, that being my one thing on No Reservations that could have been changed, although I do recognize that's his expertise. Everyone has to go watch the ferris wheel scene from Myanmar, pure insanity.
