Pushin' th' little daisies
I live in the sticks in South Australia and haven't been to Western Australia but general Aussie advice would be: there are no such things as "drop bears"; seeing kangaroos isn't that impressive, they outnumber humans two to one; where I live it's finished being summer for a couple months but we have had one shower of rain all year and had five days in a row at or above 113 degrees Farenheit; we don't use Farenheit, that was for you; if you're thinking of becoming a waiter or anything, know we don't tip. At all. Ever; if you don't understand Australian Rules football, tell everyone it's great and the players are really tough anyway. When they tell you the players were tougher back in the day, say "wow"; don't ask the average person if they like any bands from the Ap.net "scene". They will look at you confused and try to discuss Cold Chisel; finally, avoid pretty much all the non-domesticated animals. Basically all of them can and often will fuck you up.
