I understand they all just had kids, but if they're so concerned about their safety and well-being, and are asking other people to pay $100,000 for these costs...maybe touring isn't the smartest move right now. Also - $4000 for a living room show? Damn.
Also, I remember interviewing them a looong time ago, I believe it was when they were opening for NFG. Everyone in the band plus their dad were all really nice, but their dad/manager definitely seemed....a little off. It all felt a little cult-ish/Mormon-ish/ I don't even know. They make nice music though-"The Valley" was good, but nothing so far has topped "Combinations" and "Room Noises."
$1000 for them to cover a song!? I'm presuming this means the band covering a song during their set or learning the basic chords of a song and making a YouTube cover. I mean, $1000 is justifiable if you're recording the cover semiprofessionally and sending it personally to that one person, but really, that's not going to happen.
