Kinda off topic, but how come AOL never grew with the times and became a legit web browser? It seemed like they had such a good start back in the day.

It's ironic that a company which helped pioneer digital access completely missed the boat with emerging technologies & trends. If they had put some of their money into developing new platforms, maybe they could've been Facebook or whatever -- instead of being the Blockbuster of internet-antiquity.
