Man that's crazy. I use Project Playlist on my Facebook (for those who don't know, PP is a program where you can make a playlist of songs and embed it in your Facebook, Myspace, or whatever).

After SingingFish went the way of the buffalo, I started using this for streaming random stuff. Shame.

I will never understand why they are so against people *hearing* music. A few of my friends have those things on their MySpaces, and I've found some new bands/songs that I liked and became a fan of... which means potential sales of music, tickets for shows, merchandise, etc.

How the hell do they expect people to discover and take a chance on new music if they never hear it?

Well the thing about projectplaylist.com is that if the file you are streaming is an mp3 you can just copy the link and download the track. So its not *just* streaming, its really like napster if you know how to use it. Which, I do, thankfully.

but there are many labels under each of the majors "umbrellas". Like Atlantic being under the WMG umbrella.
