How much is this band paying you guys to post about them, twice a day??

Nothing against the band but the music isn't the best. If you want to push unsigned bands, maybe find ones that will actually break nationally.

TakingBackLife, we realize our "plays are kinda low", but we're doing all we can to "capture more fans" and eventually "break nationally". I think we're only about 30 or 40 Tony-Pascarella-blowjobs shy of really MAKING IT!

They're an alright band.

you know, there is an option somewhere to filter out news posts about bands you don't want to see. if you are going to complain that a band is getting some exposure, then filter em' out.

i can't watch the video at work...but i will later. i'm willing to bet there are beards in it though?

Sheesh, I'm spending more time defending our news posts than my own reviews lately. Well, here goes.

First of all, as has always been the case and I presume will always continue to be the case, bands do not pay anyone on staff for posts, reviews, interviews, or anything like that. They get posted about because we (as a collective staff or individually) feel they merit posting about. TAP have several fans on staff, myself included, so as far as an unsigned band goes, yeah, they probably do get posted about more than some others. The band is also very effective at promoting themselves, which is a plus. If you can't promote yourselves, why should we? It's a fair question I'd pose to any band out there right now.

As for breaking nationally, hand me your crystal ball. I want to know what the next music craze is going to be in 2010.

Tony, I think you missed the fact that the purpose of this site (at least, I thought) isn't to find the next TRL band and promote the shit out of them. It's to promote music that doesn't get promoted anywhere else. This band is at least original as far as pop rock goes.

Plus they have a band name that refers to internet message boards. They're clearly from the future.

I don't know much about this band. But I might just have to check them out, just because they have a guy named "Vietnam Le". F'in rad!
