Hey Andrew! On some podcast interview, I know you mentioned being into the harsh noise scene growing up (maybe Incapacitants or C.C.C.C.? Can't remember who was actually mentioned), and I know you've mentioned Darkthrone and some hardcore/powerviolence stuff in the past. Do you still listen to these genres today (noise, black metal, powerviolence) etc??
As a second question, can we ever expect another piano release, similar to 55 Cadillac? I really enjoyed that one.
Thanks for your questions and for being here, ShreddingBullet!
I love both C.C.C.C. and Incapacitants very much, as well as pretty much all intense music! Any sort of music or entertainment or culture that is designed to stimulate and intensity and deepen the experience of being alive - that's what I'm always after.
One of the greatest days of my life was getting to hang out with Fenriz of Darkthrone in Norway, along with Necrobutcher from Mayhem and Happy Tom from Turbonegro! Three of my favorite groups!
And literally just 2 hours ago, I listened to the entire "Harmony Corruption" album by Napalm Death - it's definitely the album I've listened to more than any other album in my life. I'm probably getting close to 1,000 listens. Sometimes I've listened to it every single day for months at a time!
Someday I will make another solo piano album and I will make it better than 55 Cadillac. But before that, I have many other kinds of albums I want to make, starting with my new rock 'n' roll party album! There's so much music to come! There's so much party to come! I'm doing the best I can to get everything out and going full blown!
