Peaked?
In whose opinion, I thought their last cd was awesome and was around the same as One Fell Swoop, Lullaby was an awesome song aswell as many others on No Really, I'm Fine.
They havent started going downhill yet and sure they wont for a longtime. |
I thought
One Fell Swoop was a step up from
Sunsets & Car Crashes. Since then they released
No Really, I'm Fine which offered five previously unreleased tracks - one "remix," two covers, an acoustic song, and a hard song. I think "To Live Without It" was the only standout track. I know some who think the EP version of "Appreciation and the Bomb" turned out to be better than the
No Really, I'm Fine version- I disagree.
I can't give valid reasons why
No Really, I'm Fine didn't live up to my expectations. I thought the single "All Over You" was amazingly catchy and sure to put them on the (MTV) map. I thought "Hush Hush" and "Bleed, Everyone's Doing It" were two other stand-out tracks. For some reason this album just wasn't on the same level as
One Fell Swoop for me. It could have been that I was able to connect with the latter because that album was my soundtrack to graduating high school and moving out whereas the former was just another album. Either way, I've been a fan of TSC for years and I'm not about to count them out. I hope they deliver their best with this EP and whatever else follows.
I talk too much.
Gold Coast, huh? I was up there a month or so ago. You make it out to Mardi Grass this past weekend?
