Congrats, B. This dude is the real deal and makes fantastic, passionate music. He's been very kind and welcoming to my band and I over the short time we've known him, and he doesn't need a label to sell records in my opinion.
This is sad but he seems confident. One my favorite albums of 2007 was The Beautiful Unknown. Also, one of my favorite live performances of 2007. Cannot say enough about this man and his music. Please keep it coming.<3
I'm glad Brendon and the label on are good terms. I wonder what this will mean for new music to come. The Beautiful Unknown still remains to be a great album.
Whenever this sort of news comes up I always feel like one party acted shady toward the other... but both the band and the label are amazing so in this case I hope it isn't true. I also hope this label hasn't jumped the shark, because some of their best bands have been leaving or breaking up (see: Rory, TD&A, Thin Dark Line, Jinxed, Mashlin). But s long as they still have Spill Canvas, RotY, and Inkwell, I'll be stoked on what this label puts out.
End note: Listen to Rory. Constantly and with zeal.
For serious.
Not only is his music passionate and moving on the album, but when I watched him perform live, my jaw literally dropped and I was entranced. This guy makes some seriously beautiful music, matching his extremely kind personality.
