But seriously, I do not fit the description of her target audience but whoever writes her songs has always done a great job. Remember that "train wreck" song? Sweet guitars in that number. I'll check this out when my t-swift phase is over. I think you're supposed to wait 20 minutes.
Man, the deeper I got into this thing, the less I cared for it.
It's not as consistent as Don't Forget or as strong as the highlights of Unbroken, but beyond that, I feel like there's just something missing. Not sure what; it just feels... "flat"? I liked Unbroken a lot, too, and still do, so it's not just a matter of disliking the style/genre.
I'm sure I'll still buy this CD, play it in my car a good bit, and come to love some of the other tracks besides "Heart Attack," but as of right now, I'm underwhelmed.
Just posted something similar in the Demi thread, but the songs are bland and lack personality. Her voice sounds nice and I don't really hate any of the songs so far (I'm about halfway through), but it's meh for me on most of them. idk I'm sure it will grow on me and there are a few standouts, but I don't see myself listening to it on repeat or anything.
idek why I'm posting this because I'm sure I'll do a 180 and end up listening to it all the time. I didn't care for Unbroken at first but I listen to it regularly now.
