note: this is a review of the Australian version, the Japanese version is slightly different.

wow, this is pretty good. actually, it's really good! way to go, blake, yet another reminder that some us will never succeed as musicians, haha...

edit: what's the easiest way to get this record? move to japan or australia?

you can order it online, but it'll be pricey

Awesome review, awesome band. Such good shit to zone out to, the vocals are perfect for the spazzy but beautiful guitars.

spazzy is a great word to use for these guys.

Thanks so much for reviewing this band! I had never heard of them, but I am certainly a fan after a few listens. Good review as always Blake, and which version would you suggest buying?

The Australian version, it has the "japanese" song which is rad, and it should only set you back about 24 bucks

If you like them you'd like Youth Movies, also from Oxford and an even better band.

Biffy Clyro is also from Oxford, correct?

What a top notch city. And I'll definitely check this band out.

EDIT: When did Drowned In Sound get their own record label? I must not be paying attention. Though I did think their latest review of Islands was toooooo damn long.

They're from a long way away from Oxford. They're from Ayrshire in Scotland.

Shouting Myke were from Oxford and their EP is brilliant, they changed some members and turned into A Silent Film who aren't really my cup of tea, but some of you might enjoy them: www.myspace.com/asilentfilm

Ah, not sure why I thought that. Thanks for the info and another link. I'm learning so much in here, haha.

I adore this album. Me wanty more. How greedy.

get your hands on their split with Cats and Cats and Cats, while TTNG's songs are the same, you will definitely love what Cats have to offer.
