In the same way this good deed doesn't represent all of Reddit neither does the awful things that can be found on Reddit. Reddit has millions of users in thousands of different sub groups and forums. You shouldn't cast a blanket judgement on millions of people because of the actions of a few hundred. this applies to more than just Internet sites. I guarantee you that if you went to reddit and browsed the default sub reddits or popular posts you would never find predators, voyeurism or anything of the sort. You have to actively search hard to find immoral things, same with the rest of the Internet.
Exactly. So many ignorant posts here. There are over 240,000 subreddits that you can subscribe to and anyone can make their own for any interest. It seems like some people in this thread do not understand Reddit and that it has millions of users with different interests and attitudes from all over the world. Of course there are going to be some people doing stuff that you don't like or agree with, it's like that with any place where you have the freedom to discuss anything you want. It's pretty silly to generalize a community so large and diverse because you disagree with the actions of a small percentage of it's population.
