Metallica- Garage Inc. I grew up basically as a two sided coin; Loving heavy metal, and loving punk rock. Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, and Megadeth were gods to my friends and I. To this day, I love Metallica, and Lars is still my favorite member. I'll always cherish my Garage Inc CD, as it's where I discovered King Diamond, and a version of "Whiskey In The Jar" that just can't be beat.

I'm pretty sure flagpole sitta was the first MP3 I downloaded as well! I remember being obsessed with that song and just listening to it on repeat, in really bad quality on that old crappy MP3 player on the PC where you could change the skins into numerous, equally horrific designs. I wish I could remember what it was called.
WinAmp?

I skinned or re-skinned that thing practically daily.

I built a bunch of old Blink-182 and AP.net winamp skins back in the day.

Probably like 96kbps or something.

First CD?

Pshhhhaaa. You mean first TAPE.

And it was Prince's "Batman Soundtrack" ... followed up soon after by Michael Jackson's "Bad."

First CD was Nirvana's "Nevermind."

First borrowed CD was Blink's "Dude Ranch" ... that changed everything.

First burned CD was The Ataris' "Blue Skies..."

First mp3 every downloaded? Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger (followed by some New Found Glory songs).

So badass, I can't stand it!

I had to let my mom listen to it first because she was afraid of language and content.

Backstreet Boys- Millenium

I guess I listened to the radio a ton before that (hell, after it too), but I had never actually cared to purchase a full album.

YES!!!!! That was such a bag of crap!!It was revolutionary at the time though. I remember downloading skins and thinking "This is amazing! everything is bright yellow, Red & Blue" or "No one can be as cool as me because their MP3 player doesn't have a big picture of Michael Jackson's face on it and the play button is his nose"
