So I caught about 10 minutes of their set at Bamboozle, was my first time seeing them with the new singer (I know, he's been in the band the whole time, but new to lead vocals). Anyways, suffice to say, it sounded pretty BAD. Like the dude was out of breath, slightly off-key, etc. I'm sure on the record their pro-tool and auto-tune his voice to death but I'm just curious: does everyone like him more/less than the old guy?
I have yet to see them live with Nick, but the demo of "Stay Out" and the warriors cover both with Nick on lead vocals suggest to me that Colin has a slightly stronger voice. I don't think it's going to make a huge difference in the success of the band or my enjoyment of the songs, though. From what I can tell he's got a similar type of voice to Colin, and I honestly can't imagine the casual observer/listener would be *especially* biased in favor of one or the other. just my opinion.
