Algernon Cadwallader - Some Kind of Cadwallader
Release Date: 2008
Record Label: Self-Released
If your radar is tuned to what is beginning to burgeon up north in the "post-polothology" scene, then Algernon Cadwallader is more than a household name by now. Tearing basements and shit up alongside the equally spunky Street Smart Cyclist, there has never been a better time to jump on the bandwagon then by using Some Kind of Cadwallader as some kind of starting point.
How Is It?
Brimming with wonderful shouty, Kinsella-ish vocals (some of you may not like it), bubbly angular instrumentation, and all the energy you could ask for - this is a gem that seemingly captivates anyone who lends it an ear. There's really not much more to say as Cadwallader will lead you by hand from the get-go and persist in pampering you with a contemporary Cap'n Jazz wet dream. This is youth in all its splendor and otherwise translated to music. Que suerte!

just saw them tonight at an in store performance and they had to end it early cuz their singer tripped on his power cable and knocked his amp over, almost killing himself/his bass....the most fun and most reckless
