The High Court To Take Break From Touring

Posted by: Rohan Kohli (05/31/08)
The High Court announced in a recent myspace bulletin that they will be taking a break from touring until August or September.
Myspace BulletinWe've been on the road for the past year and half with literally no break. It's time the we come home and regroup.... bring ourselves back to this thing normal people call the REAL world... reality. We have been through some of the hardest times of our lives and the best times over the past 2 years. We lost 2 vans, a trailer, countless tires, a transmission, a radiatior, and many other parts of our shitty van that refuses to stay in one piece, a guitar player, and have lost other members of our working team. We each probably wouldve killed each other multiple times had murder been legal.

SO... with that being said we're going to take some time to regroup and think about our future. Get some jobs to pay those bills that keep piling up more and more. ANd get our lives back together. In the meantime however we shall be working on new material and recording.

It may not be until August or September until we play a show again.

GUESS WHAT....

That means you should attend these next 2 shows we have coming up

It's good they aren't just breaking up. I couldn't imagine being away from home that long without a break.

money has become an insane issue for every band right now. We just ended 5 months of straight touring. The amount of money we spent on gas could have gave us an incredible downpayment on a house that would have been a sick investment. Instead bands like THC and many more, us included, invest in playing everynight for kids. If the kids dont support the bands by coming to shows, buying, yes, buying their CD and merch, the bands will cease to exist. Labels will no longer provide tour support for bands they feel are a risk because they may have only sold 5-10k records or whatever and alot of labels dont provide support anyway so imagine the unsigned bands struggle. I feel for these guys and know exactly where they are coming from.

On that same note guys and girls, your going to see alot of bands that are in bus's back in vans just to make ends meet. These are rough times kids.

I enjoyed their latest effort. Picked up their album when it came out. Recommend you do the same.
