Ummm OK.. The back catalog that they play consistently at shows is SWYA.. They've also evolved on every single record especially considering the trilogy was all written around the same time I believe.. Arun shreds man. Him and Chris jam together and if anything he's only added more greatness to this band.. To each their own but let's wait to hear more than one song before making snap judgments on the evolution from daybreak to this.. I have a feeling this album will be some of their best work and can't wait for a release date!
They play stuff from all of their albums live. SWYA will, at the most, take up 1/4 of their setlist (check setlist.fm if you don't believe me), which means the remaining 3/4 of the setlist are songs from albums that I enjoy immensely. And I never said I disliked SWYA or Daybreak, just that out of their entire catalog, they were my least favorite.
Yes, they've only officially released one song, but there are clips in their videos, a demo, and also another video that they played a song acoustically. It just doesn't sound like this album is going to be that different from Daybreak. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I agree Arun kill's it on solos, though. His solo that he played live for kaleidoscope was killer, and the one that he plays in one of the clips is just as awesome.
