Swellers Looking for Houses To PlayTo celebrate the release of our new album in the fall, in addition to a small handful of CD release club shows across the country, we’ve decided to do a tour largely based on house shows. This will be a tremendous undertaking, but I’m pretty sure with your help we can make it happen.
Playing basements, garages, and living rooms is where we got our start in the early 2000’s. Even on recent bigger tours, we have still gotten a chance to do these awesome, intimate shows. We want to share this with everyone. A lot of our fans used to go to house shows all the time, some have never been. You’ll be inches from our faces. It’ll be sweaty. It’ll get loud.
The plan is to play anywhere and everywhere we can. Even multiple shows in a day if we can. Acoustic sets will also make an appearance quite a bit. Before we set up a routing (we plan to cover as much of the US as we can), we need to know where the best places are. We have a lot of great contacts already, but please email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know if you can help set something up. Even if you can’t host a full-on houseshow, maybe an afternoon acoustic set in your living room can happen. We’ll be filming the whole thing. Down to try everything. Trying to start in mid-late October and end in late November.
See you in the basement,

I'm assuming they'll be playing a club show in the detroit/flint area, but I think this is an awesome idea.

Totally would have offered an acoustic show in my apartment if I was going to be in the country.

how is this awesome.. tons of bands do full tours in DIY spaces. This band shouldn't get special recognition for doing it.

A Small Spark Vs. A Great Forest
This is cool. They'll probably play the Kling in Akron.

its awesome because they are a band who regularly plays giant-ass shows (I.e. multiple tours with set your goals, paramore, four year strong, and warped tour) so it would be a cool experience to see them in a more intimate setting.
