you have to sign up and register and go through a process, they aren't just gonna hand out passes in a line and be like "cya later"

You just have to go there and listen to their session. You can then sign up to be on the donor list if you want, as I understand it.

Pretty easy… Music Saves Lives will be at each Guitar Center listed above to talk about the marrow program and how you can save someone with leukemia. Every 9 seconds someone who needed a transplant dies without ever finding a match.
If you come out and learn about how science has changed and how the marrow program is much different than it used to be, we will give you a backstage pass to the 2008 Vans Warped Tour. You still need a ticket to get in to the tour but this is an upgrade to your ticket. You must be 18.

After you hear all about it and want to be part of the program you can sign up at our booth at the Vans Warped Tour. Pretty simple right…

and can people over 18 do it and give the pass to a minor or is the pass in their name?

Yes you can give the Voucher to a younger person if the older comes to check it out.
