So far I'm unimpressed. I dug Losing Sleep but thought The Way It Was was literally the perfect pop rock record. Was hoping for way more of that.
Really? See, I enjoyed The Way It Was for the most part but feel like it was the album that should've came a little later in their career if that makes any sense. I think I enjoy Losing Sleep more purely based on the nostalgia of it for me personally. I feel like they took a step back (in a good way) with the new album and went back to writing simple, well-written pop rock songs. I will say there a few tracks on the new album I'm not all that fond of, but I love 75-80% of it and I'm sure the rest will grow on me!
