Yellowcard's Ocean Avenue Acoustic is available today. Last week, a stream of the entire album premiered at Pandora and on YouTube, so you had a week to really get into the release before picking it up today. Thomas also wrote a review on the record and we will be posting a roundtable discussion on the release later this week. What are your favorite renditions? Did YC knock it out of the park or do you think it could have been better? Share your thoughts on the release in the replies. You can also download it on iTunes or Amazon. The band is also heading out on the road soon to promote this release and you can check out the dates and buy tickets here.
Back Home is still my favorite, and the songs I used to not care for as much I like now. Been upset since I found out they weren't coming to Atlanta on the tour, but I might have to suck it up and go to Myrtle Beach or whatever show is closest.
Also, if your pee is this color, you might want to consider drinking more water.
I would say 2/3 of the album is good, pretty much what you would expect. The other 1/3 absolutely knocks it out of the park, on par or better than the original versions. Can't really think of another band in the genre that's been as consistent as Yellowcard over the past decade.
