BAD RELIGION TO RELEASE CHRISTMAS ALBUM 'CHRISTMAS SONGS' ON OCTOBER 29Bad Religion is set to release a Christmas album, Christmas Songs, on October 29. Who better to help you celebrate that most wonderful time of the year than holiday favorites Bad Religion?

Bad Religion have threatened to record an album of seasonal classics for years, and now they’ve gone and done it, tackling eight chestnuts in their classic punk rock style. From “White Christmas” with its nod to pioneers The Ramones, to the glorious choirboy intro to “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” Christmas Songs is the record you need to get your holiday household’s toes tapping.

Nothing says Christmas like Bad Religion.

October 29th is not Christmas harrumph harrumph.

I'm guessing (given the band's anti-religion stance) that this is not going to be your usual Christmas album.

I am definitely going to be checking this out!

As long as they don't change the lyrics and try to make a joke of these songs.

Totally going to be checking this out although the only albums I really liked were suffer and against the grain, and sometimes recipe for hate.

You wouldn't release a Christmas album the week of Christmas; this is right around the time when Christmas music starts getting played.

This is kinda neat. They've had a few Christmas songs floating around for a while from the Atlantic days ("God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "Joy to the World"--the latter of which was an anti-religious rendition, the former of which was true to form). Curious to see what they do here...
