Brand New "Live At The Downtown" Bootleg...

Posted by: Jason Tate (10/24/13)
Mike Dubin just posted a Brand New set from November of 2000 at The Downtown in Long Island. You can stream it in the replies -- it includes an "Untitled" song that (to my knowledge) was never released elsewhere.

This is pretty cool! Raw sounding, local band banter, songs are not the album versions. I enjoyed this, rad of Dubin to post it!

Hmm that Untitled song is pretty interesting. Sounds like it was definitely written before the shift in sound between YFW and Deja.

Oh wow! I didn't know they actually played that demo version of Jude Law live. I thought that was always just a teaser or something weird. This set is a serious history lesson.

Any knowledge of this was one of the shows from before they were signed? Nonetheless, this is pretty legendary.

untitled was totally a very early version of what would become 70x7, anyone else hear it?

Damn.
I'm just barely too young to have had a chance to see shows at the Downtown, but that one recording of Jesse's solo show (which I wanna say was for Mike Dubin's bachelor party?) has got to be one of the most widely-shared bootlegs around this scene right?

EDIT: LOL HE SOUNDS SO YOUNG
