MessageEvery year the JDRF runs a text based campaign called #T1D4ADAY where throughout a 24 hour period they will send texts that describe the situations you might find yourself in if you were living with Type 1 Diabetes. This year to help spread the word about Type 1 I've enlisted some of my friends in bands like State Champs, The Ghost Inside, Far From Proper, Major League, Candy Hearts, Pentimento, Real Friends, and Forever Came Calling to help spread the word not only about Diabetes, but to help raise money to send kids living with Type 1 to a summer camp specifically for kids with Type 1 Diabetes. The kids participate in all of the activities that you would expect at an average summer camp, but take breaks throughout the day to monitor and maintain healthy blood sugar levels. Camp provides a respite for the parents of kids with diabetes, and fosters lifelong friendships among kids living with the same daily challenges. You can follow @FollowHDYC on twitter where we will be retweeting all the bands who were cool enough to agree to take part, and you can make donations to the "campership" fund by going to http://tinyurl.com/oga68dn

Super cool. My girlfriend got Type 1 when she was 9 during a bout of extreme illness; it's been a huge burden on her and her parents ever since. She went to a camp like that and made lifelong friends, so good on these guys for promoting this.

Selfishly love this as I've been dealing with the disease for 22yrs now. Loved the WTP shirt they realsed a few months ago too.

I have been a type 1 diabetic since age 9 (I am 20 now), so I think this is really cool. I don't think a lot of people understand how awful this disease really is. Many thanks to you, Dustin, and all the bands who helped out.

This is great. I was diagnosed with T1 at 25 years old. Been dealing with it for 2 years now. Sucks.

It's going to be just like Type 2 Diabetes Camp, except they won't all just skip phys ed.
