I'm kind of surprised anyone's still astonished by Lorde's age. Nearly every piece of journalism regarding her music has brought attention to her youth. As far as her devolving in the manner of some others who found success in their teenage years (or younger), I sincerely doubt such a thing will happen with Lorde. Her album is pop music, sure, but she has a better head on her shoulders than the vast majority of her contemporaries, and I see her career headed in a direction much better suited for Pitchfork than VH1.
Can't believe people are comparing her to other young talented people who have gone down bad roads. She has an intelligent head on her shoulders and has put out an album that far succeeds any form of art the others have.
she sounds 1000x hotter than she is, and she makes john mayer faces when she sings. happy birthday, though. keep on, keep trucking. give the popheads something to listen to. i'll be over here, rockin' out to old millencolin.
