Great list. I love how high JEW is ranked, although I thought you didn't really loved it the first couple of listens.

I think you're the only other person on this site that likes Josh Ritter. Thought Beast was pretty good, so I'm glad to see it get some recognition. Same for Jake Bugg.

EDIT: and Holy Ghost too. Your list rules.

Really glad to see someone else enjoyed pedestrian verse as much as I did.

It really grew on me (plus getting it in a better quality helped).

That album will remain in my rotation for quite a long time I believe.

Haha, thanks. Yeah, I think those more folksy singer-songwriter albums got overlooked a lot this year. But I think both of those are great ... and the Ritter album is very personal.

(I forgot all about it when I made my list. Just completely skipped my mind. So, kinda by default ended up down that way.)

Same. Scott has grown so much as a songwriter. It's insane.

Agreed, it dismays me some when folksy bands like Mumford and Lumineers (nothing against either of them) get the publicity, while guys like Ritter remain relatively obscure, but that's how it goes I guess.
