not even a little bit true
In terms of ticket sale, popularity, and overall attraction 100 percent true. Maybe the line ups dont completely fill your likes anymore but that doesn't make a tour off your personal opinion.

Kevin Lyman seems like such a great dude. His work with nonprofits speaks for itself, and he is personally keeping the music scene I love alive. God Bless this man.

BryanStars sucks but its not all his fault. I work in the media here and I can't tell you how annoyed I get when I see TV stations walk up to interviewees and make a stupid comment or ask a dumb question just because that's what keeps viewers' attention. It speaks to the level of intelligence of the viewers and obviously there seem to be plenty of people narrow enough to get enjoyment from what he does. Stupid shit keeps stupid people interested.

Certain bands refuse to work with him, such as Bring Me The Horizon, and letlive. Other bands have interacted with him once, and refuse to do anymore with him. So many bands have detailed the arduous process of doing something with him (1 hr setup times, etc.).

I respect that he's a friend to some people that don't have any, but he needs to do some research and show some passion.

All fair points, and I actually do agree.

Like I said before, Crescendo TV does a similar sort of thing (mixing serious questions with more light-hearted ones) without descending into complete stupidity like Bryan tends to do.

You're wrong. Lots of people have shticks that they use to make money. BryanStars has a shtick of interviewing bands and asking stupid questions. And he uses it to make money. It doesn't matter whether you think that's honorable as an interviewer or journalist. It is incorrect to label him as those things. He is a marketing asset and he provides a useful service to certain bands.

His purpose is not to break exclusive information or provide a new depth of understanding to something that already exists. His purpose now, after building an incredibly loyal following, is to promote a band by simply breathing in the same camera frame as them. He talks about nothing, uploads it, it gets hundreds of thousands of views and the subject band becomes more popular because some of the people watching end up checking out new music and liking it. He absolutely is an asset for young bands that appeal to a young demographic. It may not be what you aspire to do...it may not be what anyone here considers respectable...and it may not be a format with which anyone here will discover new music...but he's proven that he has a niche, he has a market, he has a very well-defined audience and he is using all of that in a pretty smart way.

It's also funny that you bash BryanStars so hard and simultaneously adore Nardwuar. There is no difference between those two in the endgame. They provide nonessential entertainment using different shticks for different audiences.

Idk his interviews are always just really uninformed and he promotes really shitty bands

does anyone really give a shit what your porn star name would be? Dude gets like an hour interview with all these bands and just asks the shittiest questions, that hardly ever have anything at all to do with the band's music.

No, he's not. He's a poison.

If you want to know what band members porn names will be then sure...

Please explain why BryanStars is an asset to the music scene because I don't understand this at all...

Bryan isn't an asset at all to the music scene, all he has done is begin feuds between bands and ask them meaningless unfunny questions.

I'm not going to argue the journalistic integrity of his interviews-- it is what it is. But the guy has a following and he uses it to promote bands he genuinely enjoys. Can't help but respect that.

I agree with this. He articulated this much better than I could.
