this must be what the hair metal fans from the 80's felt like when bands like Avenged Sevenfold (City of Evil era) and Black Veil Brides came out...bringing back their favorite style from their teens/early 20's. to clarify, i feel that way about Issues, bringing back everything I loved about nu metal in my teens/early 20's (these guys definitely channel early Slipknot). same with the new My Ticket Home album. anyway, I'm an old far and I enjoy a lot of styles of music, but I have a special place in my heart for down-tuned/bouncy/heavy riffs and these guys write them in spades.

the cliche transitions from "heavy" to chorus are poorly executed in this song. only in the r&b moments do i see anything to enjoy, and yet it's just not enough to erase how brutal of a sound these guys have.
I have to agree as well.

That bridge is amazing and the chorus is pretty good. But the transitions put me off a little, nevertheless it's pretty solid.

No shame in loving this band.
