Travie McCoy To Release Another Solo Album Next...

Posted by: Jason Tate (01/02/14)
Travie McCoy will release a new solo album this year.
"Anyone knows from the past, from Gym Class Heroes or (2010ís) ĎLazarus,í that Iíve always given zero F about catering to one genre or one particular audience," McCoy tells Billboard. "Iím influenced by so many different types of music, and this record is no different. Itís kind of me still putting my foot in different waters and trying different things. Itís never really been, like, a conscious decision to be different or, like, color outside the lines. Itís just what I do."

Lazarus was more enjoyable for me than the latest GCH effort so I'm cool with this as a casual Travie fan.

The Papercut Chronicles was such a unique album at its time. I've been disappointed with subsequent releases but I'm extremely grateful for that album.

Lazarus. Was. Unbearable. I will still buy this though, I refuse to believe this dude doesn't have a few good tunes left in him.

I remember liking that "Need You To Understand" song he did with Patrick Stump live once.
