THIS. Brandon is a solid vocalist, but that's it. Illuminaudio is a solid record, that's all it's going to be. It's just there waiting to be found on 'shuffle'. Truth is, Craig Owens with Chiodos is dynamic. Innovative? Potentially. Brandon could never take Chiodos where Chiodos needs to be. This new song holds substance. Take Illuminaudios best song (imo Notes In Constellations) and it does not carry half of the weight this song does. "Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now" sort of engulfs you. You feel the song from the front, back, left, right, up, and down. Whether your a fan of it or not, you will remember it. Illuminaudio is just there.
hmmm, i like this, it's growing on me with each listen, but it's a little on the generic side, kind of a safe song to release, and also thomas doesn't stand out in this song, which is of course fine, but i want to hear some crazy guitar work from him on other songs, and some more experimental sounds. this is a good start though, hope the rest of the record will deliver!
