Just straight up racial profiling/stereotyping and, in regards to the NFL, it could mean a troubling trend.
DeSean was a salary dump and the media has jumped on the gang thing in pretty revolting fashion. He has no gang affiliation (or the loosest of connections if you reach and reach and reach) and was cut for no such thing. What he did have was a massive bonus (I forget the exact number) the Eagles were not willing to pay him, they cut him the day before it kicked in. The Eagles were preparing for that move all off-season, primarily with the acquisition of Darren Sproles and re-signing of Jeremy Maclin.
The only people who believe DeSean is a gang banger are the guys on ESPN that are talking about him rejuvenating his career following his best season and 5+ years of no off-field issues.
(I know you weren't calling DeSean a gang banger, you were saying that he was cut for his loose affiliation which isn't the case despite being drilled into people's brains on ESPN. It was a business move and there is no disturbing trend anywhere. Sports media does not care, they will find whatever story they can get the most squeeze out of)
As far as Pusha T, I know nothing about this at all
