Left Behind - 03.31.14

Interviewed by
Left Behind - 03.31.14The following is a mini interview of generic questions that we posed to all bands that wanted to answer:

Left Behind

1 How did you get your band name?
Well we were in the rehearsal room and just thought about how to call... Considering that we did not have a live performance and that no one knew us; so ironically we felt a bit "Left Behind" that's how all it started. (laughs)

2 How did this band get started?
Well it all started in 2009 when Aiello (the guitarist) proposed to Dotti (the singer) to sing some of his lyrics. We tried for a few months he and I… We had a crazy cool! It were more the bullshit we did that the rest. Then one night at a concert we met Pedro (the drummer) who in turn knew Ventu (the bassist). When the band was now complete we got to work on the pieces that we had, and we have composed rivers of song.

3 What bands are you influenced by?
Our kind of music, for each album has always had tended in transformations due to the passion of wanting to learn new music by other bands, that give you the incentive to try and make it much more interesting for what you do. If for the first album we were inspired by bands like Bouncing Souls, Rancid, Blink 182, now you cannot say the same for this album because the sounds, the rhythmics and the vocal lines are more post-punk than punk rock, so that I could now appoint you Alexisonfire and The Bronx.

4 If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Here everyone wants his favorite band, of course… What about Foo Fighters, Rancid, Blink 182, The Ramones, Nirvana…?

5 Best food to eat on tour?
Whatever it is Italian! So we’re sure that you can not contradict us. (laughs)

6 Why should people listen to your band?
To know more in a band, to be able to speak well or badly about us, or to have our album in his collection.

7 If you could be any athlete, which athlete would you switch places with?
George Best, the best of all time!

8 If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
Would thank those who supported us so far, those who have believed in us and has made sure we got to where we arrived, and finally even ourselves for not bowing to the obstacles that we’re found every day in the world of music.

9 If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
Admitting that it is a very convenient tool, musicians would abolish music downloads giving people the chance to find the album in stores even more impossible to find, because we do not like the idea that one day they disappear the CD and the vinyl record .... we don't like to think that we can no longer take over the abum that with effort we made and we do not like to think that our collection at home can not increase the volume.

10 Memorable tour experience?
The experience that we would never forget is the concert we did in Sardinia. Only a moment before going on stage we could not find the drummer... That was finished in another pub near to get him drunk. (laughs) Rating reception 10, vote in the fun: devastating, vote to food 10. We take this occasion to greet and thank those great guys!

11 What does AP.net mean to you?
Your site is a very interesting and well done, easily accessible, before this interview we were already using it to become aware of new bands like us, who are committed to the bottom and look for space. Congratulations to you from all band members and keep it up!

12 What is your favorite song to play?
Probably “Interpretation of Dreams of Freedom” taken from the new album. The videoclip of this song is available on BlankTV.

13 What is your vacation spot of choice?
Everyone has a different place where take a vacation. Answers Aiello (the guitarist): Gladly would spend a month in the summer in California in search of Hellcat Records, Tim Armstrong, my idol, and keep up below until I get it to us on a tour with him and Rancid. It would be very cool! (laughs)

14 What music reminds you of your childhood?
Our childhood definitely reminds Nirvana, Green Day of Insomniac, Sex Pistols and Bruce Springsteen. Bands that have given their proper weight to make us grow up with the desire to be musicians, where it would be enough just to stay a day without music, and we feel lack.

15 If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
The strength and speed of Superman in a while so we could disassemble the equipment that we have in the rehearsal room and we could take it in a heartbeat to the pub where we have to play, without having to do hours on the highway and this especially for the return when you are tired or drunk or if Aiello forget his guitar as it has already happened. (laughs)

16 Any pre-show superstitions or rituals?
Telling much bullshit saying every time that we are a fantastic quintet that will always fun with himself.

17 What is something that most fans don't know about you?
Surely they do not know that in addition to be happy moments when they see us in live concerts, there are times when a little more complicated... From deciding the structure of a song: upon arriving in the rehearsal room nervous for the day that it was born the wrong way, for the work that each of us has, at the bullshit that you can very well do without it and at that time there may also lead to pick up and go home for the anger... But even in this there is the beautiful side, because it is precisely in these cases that recognizes a band as it is related to the project and the friendship that exist in each one of us.

18 What is your assessment of the current state of radio? Do you think it's a place where your band could flourish?
The radio was a wonderful invention of the past and that still does not hide behind new technology... It 's an essential tool for a band and is also a place where every musician finds fun... Being able to speak to the public from a microphone... For us, well of course it is definitely an important place where we can tell the news of the band, not only to those who follow us, but also to those who have never even known of our existence... Come to the ear of any listener.

19 What do you like to do in your spare time?
Read, write lyrics for the new songs, play their own instruments, listen to music, watch movies, meet up with our old friends and be with our girls.

20 What kind of hidden talents do you have?
This is a question that should answer those who know us... A gift for someone can be a failure for another. Hello and good music!
