I'm listening to Weezer's album right now. I feel really old (even though it's almost as old as I am...)

These two records had such a huge influence on me growing up.
Haven't listened to either in a while, looks like I might have to change that!

Both of these records were just oozing with originality and creativity. Unlike anything I had ever heard.

When I gave Diary a listen for the first time last year, I realized how influential this album/band was. You can tell Thursday listened to it a lot during their early years.

The Blue Album was the first record I bought with my own money and Diary was one of the defining records of my freshman year of high school.

TBA is still a phenomenal pop rock album. I'm ashamed to admit I never really got into SDRE. Would you guys suggest I start with Diary?

Yes, definitely start with Diary. Their whole discography is worth a listen some time though.

Nirvana's "Nevermind" and Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" were also released on the same day.
