But looking at all the annotations, it seems like he's using his site's format to lampoon Rodger's account of hate-filled, vapid preoccupations despite having so many advantages.
Sargent calls it a "fanboy reading." It seems like the opposite and that makes Moghadam's lapse of judgement more comprehensible -- If one read something odious, full of pop culture references, and had co-founded an annotation site, the impulse to treat it like a bad song or book would almost certainly follow. And it should have been resisted, which is why he was fired.
