Peter Farrelly announced this movie on the Nerdist Podcast with Chris Hardwick, and he claims that the script is a new masterpiece, that they wouldn't have done the movie if they didn't all believe in it, etc. I quote, "[this one] is so good that it makes the first one better." My hopes aren't high, but they were heightened a little bit by his hype of it. There looked to be some good stuff so far, I just hope they don't end up showing too much of the movie in trailers before it's actually released.
Here's that podcast by the way, they start talking about the movie at about 22:10.
I wish the trailer was literally just them redoing scenes from the first movie and saying things like "I can't believe you found a briefcase full of money, again!" Like letting them make some jokes about themselves redoing it after all these years.
This doesn't look great, but I'll probably see it anyway. The first one wasn't above gross-out humor by any means, but I hope this one doesn't rely on it as much as it looks like it might.
