I know this is a little more generic than their EP, but I still dig their style... his voice is ...perfect. You could lay it over chalkboard scratching and it'd sound just as angelic. Slowly becoming one of my favorites.

Is it bad? No. Is it memorable? No.

One of the few metalcore-ish albums this year that I'm really looking forward to

Honestly it sounds like Linkin Park at times. This is so incredibly different than the sound/potential I heard way back when I listened to the demo version of Where Did I Go Wrong on Youtube (not up anymore, and yes it was superior to the EP version). And why does he have to strain his voice the entire time? He has an amazing clean, strained, and screaming voice. But when you strain all the time it loses its effect.
Also the music is so simple. Of course it is a single so it'll be about grabbing a bigger audience, but still.

lol first comment on youtube:
"There's clearly a new direction being sought in the new album, but I dig it. Very Coldplay/Linkin Park-esque. Curious to hear what the rest of the album sounds like."
yup, definitely coldplay-esque.

Well David Bendeth is producing it, he directs bands towards a more radio-friendly sound, obviously this is not different with them. The EP was amazing, but I feel like this direction hasn't horrible detoured their sound, I'm still happy with it. I can see them going places.

Not digging the vocals. Sounds a little to gruff. He has an amazing voice, I don't know why he isn't utilizing it here.

Went from an alt/generic metalcore sound to an alt/pop punk sound.
Clearly, a band aiming to find mainstream success, and not much more.
Enjoyed this, regardless.

And all of that potential has been flushed down the drain... This is bad.

I agree, but I think its because they're not really comparable, they're two different sounds, they're both amazing in their own right.
