I remember buying this at Best Buy. The cashier gave me a "aww yeah good band" nod to me as he rung it up.
It's funny that this was the album that really created a rift in Midtown and was one of the reasons for the breakup because Gabe got all controlling and wrote the lion's share of the album and wouldn't let other people's ideas in as much, and yet at the same time it's their Magnum Opus to many, myself included.
I loved Midtown at the time, but Butch Walker's involvement was the whole reason I bought the thing. That was a pretty good summer for music, and I remember listening to this, Letters, and the early Futures leak a LOT that entire summer I turned 21.
Midtown is one of those bands from that era which totally flew under my radar. I don't think I've ever listened to a song from them. Always wanted to know what all that buzz was about... Maybe I'll check out some stuff from them later today.
