Mashable Invite You To 'Look Back on the Emo Era'

Posted by - 10:58 AM on 08/21/14
Mashable talks with some of the early 2000's "emo era" bands that helped bring the genre into the mainstream. You know, bands like The Early November, The Starting Line, and I Am The Avalanche.
For me, it was just what I happened to listen to. Pop music usually underwhelmed me, and true street punk music did not speak to me either. Pop punk felt just right. I could sing melodies that had emotion while still playing loud and fast.

Were IATA considered as big as those others? It didn't seem like it to me at all.

but I Am The Avalanche wasn't even around in the early 2000's. That was definitely The Movielife time... well at least until 2003.

How silly. All three DTR bands, and to mention IATA over TML is weird.

I imagine its IATA because that's who they could interview and maybe Vin wanted to talk about IATA, not TML. The other two bands are still together, obviously..
