Camera angle's really unkind to the latterday fuller figure of the one who sings like a girl.
Loved these guys - and was devastated when they split. Think what would be best for them is writing a new album that goes further in pushing their sound than Young Machetes (which perfectly matched where they were at). They could keep the hardcore edge but amp up the poppy/vaudevill elements and make something akin to a punk Tom Waits record.
One of the very few bands I was sure would get more and more weird/interesting with each release - so hopefully they'll just pick up where they left off and keep going. People wanting another Burn Piano Island Burn should, naturally, die in a Fire Fire Fire.
This is a band I want to like but the only time i saw them as in Albany NY opening for Coheed, they had 10 minutes of pure feedback and just sounded so awful. It was so bad people were booing them to get off the stage. They are playing fun fun fun fest so maybe they can rejuvenate my opinion.
