It feels weird to hear them mature like this. I'd gotten so used to their sound being mired in the first two albums. I mean, it's still identifiably Hawthorne Heights, but they've definitely kicked it up a notch.
Should be a good listen at any rate. Still debating on the pre-order, though.
the new album sounds REALLY good! i wasn't a HH fan but after hearing jeff's production and the bands heavier/slower sound i am a fan. jeff also did the new my jeremiah tracks which sound epic. MJ should have a new rough mix posted next week. HH haters should give the new album a chance.
i have the up most respect for this band continuing on after losing casey, but i have never honestly been a fan of their music. i think on the first 2 albums, almost every song sounded entirely too similar.... but the clips on this album sound promising. again, God bless them for picking up the pieces and making music without casey. truly inspirational.
even though this band has gotten a ton of crap over the years i've always enjoyed them. it seems weird to listen to hh and not having screaming. i wish post hardcore wasn't such a dying genre.
